Golden Gate Park is located in downtown San Francisco, between Haight Ashbury and the Pacific Ocean.
The park, which was created in 1870, attracts more than 12 million visitors yearly.

There are two windmills at Golden Gate Park, which also features a Japanese Tea Garden, bison enclosure,
Strybing Arboretum and beach chalet.

Golden Gate Park is a popular picnic spot. Its beachfront location offers several outdoor activities, including
tennis, biking, fly fishing and horseback riding.

The Golden Gate Bridge is located north of Golden Gate Park, near the Presidio.

The Presidio served as a military post until 1994. It is now part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.

The area offers wonderful views of Alcatraz and the San Francisco Bay. It's also home to coastal bluffs,
forests and beaches, a national cemetery and more than 500 historic buildings.

Washington Square is one of San Francisco's most accessible parks and is the site of frequent arts shows.
It's located at Union and Columbus near Telegraph Hill.
