San Diego County is home to the nation's seventh-largest city, but it also encompasses 18 incorporated cities. The city of San Diego comprises several charming communities -- including the historic Gaslamp Quarter, Little Italy, Hillcrest and La Jolla -- all with a flavor and flair of their own.
