WaterColor History

WaterColor is one of 11 beach communities that dot scenic Highway 30-A, an 18-mile road that runs along the gulf coastline in the Panhandle's Walton County. The 499-acre resort is being developed by Arvida, a St. Joe Company.
The St. Joe Company is Florida's largest private landowner, and the company has given this new development a distinctive Southern flavor. Expansive porches and intricate screen doors hearken back to a simpler time, although each home has the latest modern amenities. Home styles vary from cottages and village homes to expansive lofts that overlook Town Center. The unifying theme is a sense of Florida hospitality, which is reflected in the regional palette and traditional Southern architecture.
Town Center features a variety of shops, restaurants and offices. The WaterColor Inn offers a bit of Southern hospitality, and residents and visitors alike can stroll through the beautifully landscaped streets to get a taste of the outdoors.

Activities

WaterColor residents enjoy a variety of amenities, from shopping and dining to social and recreational opportunities.
Town Center offers a selections of shops, offices and restaurants, including the WaterColor Market.
Take a canoe or sailboat out for a spin on Western Lake, a 220-acre coastal dune lake bordered by pine forests. If you're up for a swim, head down to the beach for a dip in the gulf, or visit the BeachClub pool, which faces the water. The BeachClub also features a large deck and grill, showers, and complimentary towel service.
WaterColor Workout is a full-service gym with the latest fitness equipment, and the WaterColor Tennis Center has five clay courts and a stadium court surrounded by a grass-stepped terrace.
Several hiking and biking paths wind through the community's woodland trail system. State parks and beaches are also located nearby, offering coastal dunes, cypress ponds, swamps, prairies and forests.
